A look back at 2022
When 2022 began, I fully committed my business to the Lord by claiming Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." I also prayed the prayer of Jabez and asked Him to increase my territory. I really wanted my photography business to be successful and I knew as a Christian that any success I attain would come from the Lord. So I committed to prayer and Bible study each morning before reaching for my phone to see if I had any inquiries. It wasn't easy because my sin nature would tell me I might miss an opportunity for business if I didn't check my messages first thing. Most days I had a very productive quiet time and other days I fell short. Despite any of my short comings, however, God graciously blessed me in 2022 with 17 portrait sessions, 3 events, and 8 Christmas mini sessions, which by the way were a first for me! I will continue to honor God with my time first thing every morning, not because I want him to send me clients, but because He is my Savior and He deserves nothing less than my best.
I hope you enjoy a small sample of some of the sessions I had this past year. I had the privilege of photographing old friends as well as made some new friends that found me on Google. I would also like to add that the new people I met have been some of the sweetest and friendliest people I could have ever hoped to meet. When I decided to get my business published to Google (thank you Alec), I was a little nervous about who would seek me out. I can honestly say it has been nothing but a positive experience. I even had one from out of state that came here on vacation! What a blessing!
